A note about the artist </font> </center>
</h1>
</blockquote>
<p align="justify"><font color="#666666" size="1"><a href="http://www.joplinmo.org/">Joplin </a>is located in the southwest corner of <a href="http://www.missouritourism.org/">Missouri</a>. We refer to this charming small city as " The Heart of the Four States". Jorge's studio is located a few miles from Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Kansas. He has called Joplin his home for over twenty years, previously his home was in Lima,<a href="http://www.peru.com/" target="_parent"> Peru. </a> Joplin might not be the art Mecca of the new millennium by any means but, there is a wonderful effort by the community to encourage all phases of art; keeping our interest in art active and strong. Jorge finds Joplin to be a wonderful city to live in and work. The Ozarks with its rivers and changing landscape keeps the artist alive and motivated. Jorge graduated from <br>

href="http://www.mssu.edu/">Missouri Southern State university </a> (MSSU) were he received a bachelors of art degree (BA), and was a member of the dean's honor roll and president of the Art League. He went on to <a href="http://www.pittstate.edu/">Pittsburg State University</a> (PSU) in Kansas, were he received a masters of art degree (MA). He was awarded a Phi Kappa Phi national honor society membership, and an Excellence in Scholarship award. Finally, his Masters of Fine Arts (MFA) degree was awarded from the<br>
</font><font color="#666666" size="1"><a href="http://www.cca.edu/">California College of the Arts </a> (CCA) in 1993 , where he was a member of the president's circle.</font></p>
